What is NewsNow?
NewsNow is a weekly news magazine launched in 2011 by Africa’s largest publishing group, Media24. Edited by former Media24 Africa correspondent and Beeld news editor, Waldimar Pelser, the magazine (in conjunction with its Afrikaans sibling publication NuusNou) provides readers with a weekly digest of the top news from around South Africa and the world.
As a news aggregator, NewsNow is created by a team of journalists who source and edit news stories from a multitude of newspapers, magazines, blogs, social media updates and television
reports, giving readers insight and providing various perspectives on the week’s top stories.
NewsNow/NuusNou is on sale every week at leading retail stores for R10.00. Subscribers to the print edition receive the magazine for only R8 a week and receive an additional digital subscription free of charge.
Where can I buy NewsNow/NuusNou?
The magazine is available at leading stores across the country, including Woolworths, Pick ‘n Pay, Exclusive Book, Clicks, CNA, Spar, KwikSpar, Game, Netcafe and selected petrol stations, chemists and cafes.
Can I subscribe?
Yes. You can subscribe to our print edition and save 20% off the retail price, which means our subscribers get the print edition delivered to their doors for a mere R8 per issue. As of March 2012, all print subscribers receive an additional digital subscription free of charge.
